In the Indonesia Mining Update 2012 event, TAMBANG Magazine, in cooperation with the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal– Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the Indonesian Mining Society (MPI) and also the Institution of Engineers Indonesia (PII), will present the 3rd TAMBANG Award for those who have demonstrated distinction performance and significantly contributed to the development of national mining industry. The award would include 10 categories as follows:

1. Best Mining Company in Environmental Compliance
2. Best Mining Company in Community Development
3. Best Mining Company in Safety and Health
4. Best Mining Company in Good Mining Practice
5. Best Mining Services Company
6. Best CEO in Mining
7. Best CEO in Mining Services
8. Best Achievement for Mining Engineers
9. Best Public Company in Mining and Energy
10. Best Public Company in Mining Services

The board of jury for TAMBANG Awards 2012 will include mining related experts, practitioners, professional, academics, entrepreneurs, and journalists.
